Overview
First Cast is built so the free fishing guide can work without an account. Location is requested only when you choose Use my location.
Location
Location may be used to find a nearby supported fishing profile. Do not share private access points or sensitive exact catch locations.
Accounts and saved data
Saved plans, catch logs, and tackle box persistence require sign in when those services are configured. If they are unavailable, the app shows an honest unavailable state.
Payments
When paid features are enabled, Stripe processes checkout and payment details. First Cast stores the account entitlement, purchase status, and provider transaction identifiers needed to grant access and handle refunds; First Cast does not store complete payment card numbers.
Advertising cookies and choices
When display ads are enabled, third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies to serve and measure ads based on prior visits to First Cast or other websites. Google's advertising cookies allow Google and its partners to personalize ads based on visits to First Cast and other sites. Where required, a certified consent platform collects advertising choices before ad requests are made. You can opt out of personalized Google advertising in Ads Settings.
