Display

Automatic, Day, Night or Stealth

Automatic follows the clock on this device: Day in daylight, Night after dark. It never picks Stealth — that one is always your choice. Whatever you choose is remembered, and kept to your account when you are signed in.

Day
Maximum contrast for bright sunlight. Near-black text on white, heavy type on the numbers you read at a glance, and solid fills rather than tints. Polarised sunglasses darken a phone screen at some angles whatever the app does — that is the screen’s own filter, not something colour can undo. Day gives you the most contrast there is to work with.
Night
First Cast dark mode with true OLED black. The full app — fish, maps and weather — on a black ground that switches OLED pixels off.
Stealth
Text-only, minimal-light display for fishing after dark. Dim red words on black. Photographs, maps and charts are not loaded at all — you get coordinates, bearings and text instead, so the screen stays dark and your eyes stay adjusted.

Automatic: Day in daylight and Night after dark — showing Day now.
